We congratulate Dr. Aya Mahdy who won the first poster award prize at the "Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Gendiagnostik (AGD)" meeting in Bonn.

We are delighted to announce that Dr. Aya Mahdy of our institute was awarded the First Prize for best poster presentation at the joint Annual Meeting of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Gendiagnostik (AGD) and the Next Generation Sequencing Competence Network (NGS-CN), held 10–11 October 2025 in Bonn, Germany.

This meeting brings together leading experts in genetic diagnostics, genomics, and next-generation sequencing across Germany and beyond. The NGS-CN is a DFG-funded national network coordinating state-of-the-art sequencing services across competence centers (including Kiel, Tübingen, Dresden, and the West German Genome Center).

Congratulations to Dr. Mahdy for this outstanding achievement, which highlights both her excellent scientific work and the strength of our institute’s contributions to genomic research.
