IKMB director Andre Franke has been invited to talk at the 15th Young Scientists‘ Conference Biofuture: Perspectives of the Natural and Life Sciences in Vilnius, Lithuania on 24 November, 2022. The aim of this conference is to keep the junior scientists integrated into the worldwide research achievements and great rises in the field of natural sciences and also give way to discuss their work with senior scientists.
Andre Franke gave a lecture about Personalized medicine and inflammatory bowel diseases – Where are we? He described the progress in molecular biology and translational medicine and how it supports the further development of individualized treatment for severe inflammatory bowel diseases. Afterwards there was a vivid exchange with the junior scientists.
From his long-term experience as a speaker of a research training group Andre Franke knows how worthwhile this exchange with young researchers is. The IKMB succesfully collaborates with Kaunas University in Lithuania for over 20 years.
