Research Interest

Andre Franke

My main scientific interests are the development and establishment of novel high-throughput technologies, the inherent bioinformatic integration and application of both to identify genetic and epigenetic causes of chronic inflammatory diseases such as Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, psoriasis, primary sclerosing cholangitis, and atopic eczema. Having worked on genome-wide association studies for the last years, my research agenda currently focuses on clinical data management, whole-genome and whole-exome resequencing, microbiome analyses and immunogenetics studies.
