DFG funds new research group "miTarget" at Kiel University with seven million euros
miTarget consists of nine individual research projects, each dealing with partial aspects of the topic. A subproject deals, for example, with changes in the microbiome during pregnancy and the influence of these changes on the further course of inflammatory bowel diseases.
Prof. Andre Franke, Director at the Institute for Clinical Molecular Biology (IKMB), CAU and UKSH, and board member of the PMI Cluster of Excellence, is the spokesman for the DFG research group "miTarget: The microbiome as a therapeutic target in inflammatory bowel diseases"
