Research Interest

In my daily work, I create an infrastructure to facilitate analysis in metagenomics with a focus on inflammatory bowel disease. The focus is on creating easy-to-use software-based workflows that scale well with large datasets and are reproducible, and on operating a data management platform that allows documented datasets to be exchanged and made searchable in compliance with policies. I also analyze large-scale transcriptomic data for disease-related molecular changes in the patient’s body.
