Coming from a clinical background, I am fascinated by the potential that liquid biomarkers have for clinical practice. It is particularly interesting that the bioinformatic detection of often small amounts of molecules from body fluids could potentially be used for better disease understanding and therapy monitoring. My research focus is on blood plasma sequencing in lung cancer to analyse treatment response and resistance mutations. My vision is to improve molecular profiling to ensure good disease monitoring with the least invasive measures possible to intervene early in disease development.
