DFG funds 14 new Collaborative Research Centers

We are happy to announce the funding of “PANTAU”,  a new collaborative research centre (“Sonderforschungsbereich”) at the UKSH. A key focus of this important endeavor will be the study of antibody-mediated autoimmunity by example of phemgoid diseases. An interdisciplinary team of clinicians and basic researchers will investigate the underlying molecular mechanisms that underly the emergence of disease, its progression and subsequent treatment. From the IKMB, this effort is being supported by the principal investigators Professor Petra Bacher (Immunology, Microbiome) and Dr. Marc Höppner (Bioinformatics).
