Research Interest

My research interests are in genetic/epidemiological studies for immune-mediated diseases, bioinformatics, statistical genetics, phenome-wide studies, and pharmacogenomics. Central to my bioinformatics research, I pursue an interdisciplinary research approach between basic clinical research, computer science, and industrial design/interface design with the goal of providing hardware-accelerated, ultra-fast bioinformatics applications for researchers in medicine, epidemiology, and bioinformatics. My research goal is to reclassify immune-mediated diseases and comorbidities along genetic-pathophysiological risk profiles to complement the classical clinical classification and to improve preventive and therapeutic interventions (precision medicine).
