Junior Research Groups

Several junior research groups were established to support and emphasize innovative research foci. Outstanding young researchers with several years of postdoctoral research experience and a strong scientific track-record conduct their own research projects as leaders of Independent Junior Research Groups (IJRGs). They are well integrated in their designated fields of research and are supported by the state-of-the-art research infrastructure of the IKMB and the DFG Excellence Cluster "Inflammation at Interfaces". The projects are primarily funded by third party grants from the DFG, BMBF and EU.
