Im Zentrum für Molekulare Biowissenschaften betreibt das IKMB Technologieplattformen für „Next generation“ Sequenzierung (NGS), Genotypisierung und Expressionsanalysen. Die IT-Ressourcen für die Bereiche Bioinformatik und Forschungsdatenmanagement umfassen zentrale und dezentrale Infrastrukturen direkt am Institut oder im Rechenzentrum der CAU mit mehr als 2 Petabyte Speicherkapazität sowie einem Rechencluster mit mehr als 1000 Cores. Aktuell erfolgt eine Erweiterung dieser Infrastrukturen für die Bereitstellung von Cloud-Computing Diensten (OpenStack) sowie eines Metadaten-gestützten Datenmanagementsystems auf der Basis von iRODS. The Medical Faculty of the Christian-Albrechts-University of Kiel is currently establishing a position for a PostDoc with excellent skills in informatics and biology related background as part of the efforts within the BMBF-funded sysINFLAME program. The integrative approach of sysINFLAME aims to create a multidimensional picture of individual disease courses in chronic inflammatory disorders. The consortium consists of 10 subprojects combining experts from various fields, joining forces to improve the use of existing therapies and to design preventive or pre-emptive interventions delaying and avoiding manifestation of disease. More information
