Research Interest
My research focuses on the understanding on how the host microbial crosstalk is executed at the intestinal epithelium. In my research I pursue the goal of reciprocally transferring pioneering findings from clinical research (e.g. identification of risk genes in IBD) or from basic science to the other scientific field. Thereby I aim to implement innovative approaches for diagnostics and therapy in the field of IBD.
